Winter Solstice

Visit: Kaleva Historical Society
Annual Lighting of the Cemetery on the Winter Solstice, December 21, in Kaleva. Starting at 4:00 pm on the longest night, hundreds of luminaries are placed on graves in the Kaleva cemetery to honor loved ones. Meet at 14701 Metsola Ave. to help with the luminaries. There is a short program at the cemetery at 5:15 and a soup supper following at Kaleva’s Bethany Lutheran Church. All are welcome.

The Kaleva Art Gallery is open Friday and Saturday from 10:00-4:00 and Sunday 12:00-4:00 pm. Arts and crafts by local artists for sale. The gallery is located in the former drug store in downtown Kaleva, across from mBank. Come in to celebrate 20th anniversary during November.

ACA Annual Ice Breaker

The annual Ice Breaker is an opportunity for artists, culture enthusiasts and supporters to get together and share a soup, bread and dessert buffet. There will be a short program of sharing talents, and a short business meeting to elect board members and officers. Don't miss it! Also time to renew memberships.
